Beschrijving: All three Guards brigades were at the inspection. The film opens with the men, including the massed bands of the division, assembling in position. Connaught arrives on horseback with an escort of Indian lancers and is greeted by the divisional commander, Major-General G P T Fielding, himself riding a white horse. They inspect the division, Connaught addresses the men, and the bands lead a marchpast (one officer's horse shies at the camera). Connaught takes the salute and leads three cheers for the King. An extract from IWM 119 THE DUKE OF CONNAUGHT'S VISIT TO THE ARMIES has become attached to the end of the film.
The Duke of Connaught reviews men of the Guards Division at Lumbres, near Wizernes, Western Front, 1 November 1916.
